Our story
Khickster Entertainment was founded in 2021 by Kimberley Hicks, who had a dream of providing quality children's entertainment from a young age. Khickster offers children's parties, wedding entertainment, community events and children's holiday camps across East Kent. Khickster has more than 10 staff working for us who are highly experienced, qualified and are DBS checked.
About our Director Kimberley
Kimberley has always loved working with children. Her first opportunity working in the childcare sector was as a party host at the age of 14, her energy and passion for parties and entertainment were what led her to later become a Butlins Redcoat.
Following this, Kimberley attended University graduating with a 1st class Joint Honours in Education and Psychology. Alongside her further education, Kimberley began to work at Camp Nock-A-Mixon in Pennsylvania, where she spent 4 summers, caring for children aged 7-16 and creating memories that will last a lifetime. However her experience working with children did not stop there, Kimberley also works part time as a Maths and Sports Teacher.
During COVID-19 Kimberley took the company online, offering online parties and free online activities for children, with her weekly Family Friday Quiz being a popular choice. Kimberley brings all of her experience and passion together to create outstanding and affordable party packages. Furthermore Kimberley is excited to bring her experiences of working at Camp Nock A Mixon to her own summer camps here in Canterbury. Kimberley loved the family feel at these camps and she hopes her camps provide similar opportunities here in Canterbury.
Kimberley holds both, Child and Adult DBS Certificates, Level 3 Safeguarding Lead Qualification. Kimberley has also completed Fire Marshall training and is also Paediatric first aid trained.
